Our storyA family studio rooted in the islands of the Marianas
Sinåhi Marianas was born from a deep love of the land, sea, and traditions of Saipan. Every piece we make carries the a part of the Marianas , shaped by hand, guided by memory, and offered with care.
The craftMade by hand, from materials the islands provide
We work with shells, spondylus, hima (giant clam), bone, antler, and stone, materials gathered throughout the Marianas that carry the texture and color of these islands. No two pieces are identical. Each one is shaped, smoothed, and finished entirely by hand.
Our techniques draw from generations of carving traditions and skills from different fellow carvers. We study the old forms and incorporate the new, then let the material guide what it becomes. The result is jewelry and carvings that feel ancient and immediate at once.
What we hold to- Island materials
- The majority of the materials we use comes from the Marianas or the Pacific. We gather with intention, taking only what the land and sea offer freely.
- Family tradition
- Sinåhi is a family studio. The knowledge we work from was passed down, not learned from a book. We carry that lineage in every piece.
- Handmade always
- Nothing we make is cast, stamped, or machine-finished. Every edge, every surface, every detail is shaped by hand — slowly, with full attention.
- Honest work
- We make what we know how to make well. We don't rush production, don't overextend the collection, and don't compromise the material for convenience.
