Pacific shell necklace
Strung by hand from shells gathered along the shores of Saipan
$68
The story
Each shell in this necklace was gathered by hand along the reef-edged shores of Saipan. No two pieces are identical — the shells vary in tone from pale cream to warm amber, shaped by the same tides that have defined Chamorro life for centuries.
The cord is hand-knotted between each shell, a technique passed down through generations of Refaluwasch weavers. It takes roughly four hours to complete a single necklace.
