The story
Giant clam shell has a quality of light that no other material replicates — a soft, diffuse luminosity that shifts with the angle of view. These earrings are cut from the same section of shell, ensuring the grain and tone match across the pair.
The drop form is derived from traditional Chamorro ear ornaments documented in pre-contact archaeological records. The sterling silver post is the only non-natural element.
